Danielle Mullon, LCSW

DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician™

Hi, I’m Danielle. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with fifteen+ years of experience as a psychotherapist.  I love helping people who are struggling with traditionally difficult-to-treat issues, such as OCD, trauma, and BPD. I also enjoy working with clients who face less severe problems, but who just prefer a more structured, results-oriented approach.

Regardless of the specific type of therapy you need, I always start by learning what matters deeply to you. I help you formulate goals based on what you want and what’s getting in the way of having that life. I work with you to fully assess any behaviors that you want to change, so that we understand how best to intervene. And all of this is done within a context of compassion, understanding, and humor.

I am analytical by nature and I love a good puzzle! This is one reason why I’m passionate about providing a really thorough assessment for my clients. I’ve also seen how validating it can be when a diagnosis sheds light on a lifetime of challenges. And I know that the right diagnosis can lead to getting the most effective type of treatment for the issue at hand.

From my lived experience as a late-discovered neurodivergent individual, I understand how freeing a correct diagnosis can be! Letting go of self-judgment, accepting yourself as you are, and permanently changing the limiting narrative you carry about yourself is like getting an elephant off of your back. I feel utter joy when I’m able to help my clients release that burden.

My practice is named “In Flow” after the state of mind where we become one with what we’re doing. In a flow state, we’re highly effective, fully present in the moment, and even difficult things feel effortless. It’s a peak experience that comes when we’ve practiced something so much that we no longer have to think about it, and everything just…flows. In DBT we talk about this in the context of mindfulness, and it is indeed the end goal of practicing mindfulness.

I hope the idea of a new approach feels exciting to you. If you’re willing to do the hard work it takes to finally be free from patterns that have held you back from living the life you want, I’d be honored to be your guide on that journey.
